Max has confused the Paleozoic Era (290 mya) with the Paleocene Epoch (65 mya) which occurred at the very beginning of the Cenozoic Era. The Cretaceous Period (during the Mesozoic Era) extends to the time immediately preceding the Paleocene Epoch.

But anyway... if a primate and a pterosaur were ever to have had an encounter, it would have to have happened at the brief point where the Cretaceous Period and Paleocene Epoch possibly overlapped. Oh, and the primate would have been a Plesiadapiform, which probably looked something like this:

Not so much confused as concerned with a larger point. Let's stop avoiding the TRUTH, people. The war for planet earth was waged and won millions of years ago, and neither ninja, pirate, cowboy, cyborg, moleman nor hobo was victor. The simple and indisputable FACT is that this planet has always belonged to Moon Boy & Devil Dinosaur.
