Using El Capitan Quixano
I created Quixano to be a “cavalry” character. If the player characters ever find themselves in a bind, he’ll fortuitously arrive in the nick of time to provide an extra gun, or an extra sword arm in port. He will be utterly convinced that the player characters are doing battle with monsters, of course, whether or not they really are. Once the battle is done and the enemy defeated, he will immediately sail off into the distance without waiting for thanks.
