I saw this presidential-seal-halo and thought how much Berin would love it. I wouldn't guess it's staged exactly, but the photographer was probably trying to line it up perfectly.

Sure, and it may have been photoshopped for all we know, but if he waited to line it up live while he was taking a shot, the photographer can kinda claim that it wasn't "staged" or re-touched. I searched and found similar photos of Bush which may or may not have been retouched. Also a nice shot of Desmond Tutu standing in front of a UN flag, looking like he has one of those Caesar garlands around his head.

Comment by Sir Golgotha, KEoPS on October 30, 2009 at 6:55am - Wouldn't it have just been easier to photo-edit this for the same effect? This is a whopping two layers on any decent raster editor. It's even a fairly simple cut-n-paste job in MSPaint. That has to be much easier than doing acrobatics on the side of the stage to get the same shot.
