Were you dead tired? BWAHAHAHAHAHAHACHOKETHUD
Bakon Vodka is made from potatoes, so with the bacon flavouring you have half of a balanced breakfast right there. I can imagine serving shots of it in a coquetier, with a side-drink of either Irish coffee (extra Irish), or Kahlua. Maybe for somet...
That wasn't what we were discussing? So, the pictures and video aren't from a Warriors LARP?

Man, I love that period of illustration. Thanks for posting!

Profile Information

Hometown:
Kind of middleish.
About Me:
Despite all my socks I'm still just a sloth in a box.
Favorite Games:
I still haven't found my favorite game but it has condensed in my head like steam in an alembic and I'm working on it. These days I'm more interested in game design theory than applied gaming. So it's taken the better part of a decade with nothing much to show but tons of notes; it'll happen. *sob*

That said, I like tabletop RPGs but I haven't got to play any in years. Mostly I get my gaming kicks from video games these days. I like Second Life, Anarchy Online (used to, still love the world), The Elder Scrolls series (Morrowind and Oblivion, drool), and the Total War series (but I'd like it more if it were only Partial War). I also have a soft spot for Atari Warlords (with four players) and Breakout. I even play shooters sometimes but I'm just a tourist; I like to admire the environments.
Favorite Books:
Anything CS Lewis, and if Tolkien wrote dirty limericks on a bathroom wall I'd buy them. Also Harry Potter but I'm not ga-ga over it, George Orwell's fantasy stuff, medieval Chinese lit, and huge steaming piles of non-fiction.
Favorite Comics:
Sandman, Conan (I know, I know), Masamune Shirow stuff for geek cred, Peanuts, Grendel, if Hayao Miyazaki drew dirty pictures on a bathroom wall I'd buy them, Groo (guilty pleasure), most anything written by Alan Moore as long as it's fiction, Frank Miller's Dark Knight, and other old stuff. Not much current except web comics like Achewood.

I like the idea of superheros but the average Marvel or DC book makes me wish the sun would go nova.
Favorite Movies:
Anything of the Labyrinth/Dark Crystal/Legend variety, old classics with Audrey Hepburn (drool) and/or Gregory Peck, etc. I like film-geek stuff without being so artsy that people want to punch me in the face because I won't shut up about the mise en scène of Truffaut's early oeuvre, and I like the kind of films you find when you scrape the bottom of the barrel and find out it's a false bottom covering a pit filled with Italian sword-and-sorcery movies and disco musicals about the Village People (with Steve Gutenberg).
Favorite TV Shows:
People who don't watch TV find ways to work that fact into conversations slightly more often than new parents find ways to tell you about their baby's latest escapades. I'll just say it this once. I do watch a lot of DVDs of old TV shows like Star Trek, Doctor Who, and other BBC stuff.
Favorite Music:
Everything, with the usual exemptions: rap and country. Actually, there are exceptions even in those genres. I like classical music a lot (Wagner & Beethoven), and my fantasy-favorite band would be a Duran Duran coverband made up of members of Devo and The Pixies.

Hey -- thanks for the happy birthday! It's been crazy the last few weeks, but hopefully I'll have a little more time to hang out at the ol'Dire Cafe this winter. :)

Dude, sorry I didn't answer your question when you asked it. I kind of forgot about the comment wall...

The deal with the image (which is classic) is that it is an ancient Greek painting of Dionysos and a Satyr. I'm rather into Dionysos, you see.
