Was just peeking at Djimon Hounsou's IMDB page and I see him listed in a movie titled Thulsa Doom. Sadly its only on IMDB pro at this point, so no more info. But it does make me curious. In other news, when the hell is Red Nails going to come out?…

as I only get three channels on tv (AMC not being one of them) and I don't buy dvds anymore, I'll have to try and find this online as I'd like to see it. Too lazy to check at the moment, it might even be up at AMC's website. I was kinda shocked to…

I read that as "new neighbour" at first. which made me wonder exactly how you disposed of the body of the previous inhabitant.

That was my problem with Heights as well, ages ago. In fact its often my problem with lots of literature. I just don't find a good deal of it to be compelling. Still, it beat Jean Eyre. though getting beaten beats that... I didn't even remember tha…

I just paid off my debt to the library ($9.10!) and saw their shelf of Diskworld books. If I had brought one of those home, I'd never force myself through the rest of Wuthering Heights, but I'll try some of the City Watch and Witches eventually.

As a Diskworld fan, I agree that the Wincewind books are the weakest of the lot. Rincewind books are parodies of fantasy in general. Fantasy is pretty goofy to start with so it can be hard to tell when someone is parodying it, The City Watch books a…

That film is the reason I picked up that particular set.

That's the first one I thought of too! One of the rare non-villain roles for Christopher Lee, which is not to say that he plays a nice guy.

Yeah, its too bad Sierra sold out to EA. I was looking forward to some rehashings of their classic games with more current technology.

I'll never forget typing "throw dagger" then hitting enter F3 enter for hours to up my skills.

and yes, sock monkeys are creepy as hell. this one looks like its licking the blood of its last victim off of the icicle.

Riff trax anyone?

I've been on an MST3K kick lately as they just added a bunch of them onto Netflix instant play.

Saw online that Michael J Nelson does "riff trax" for movies through some website now. Look like there is a small charge per movie to download. has anyone heard any of these? thoughts?

robot chip for advertising

We need some sort of advanced advertising protocols in place. Pandora isnt working on my laptop with firefox all of the sudden. probably something to do with a recent update. So I'm using the terrible and evil Internet Explorer. Evidently they have some sort of annoying popup banners that flank both sides of the song thats currently playing.

I know they have to pay for their license and whatnot. But I does rankle me when I get bombarded with ads for services I already subscribe to, like Netflix… Continue

for you Losties...

I've met 3 cast members so far this year. Two of them in the last two days. Makes me vaguely wish I watched the show.

Jeff Fahey was the first. At the time I didn't even know he was on the show since I stopped watching at the end of season 2.

Yesterday was Naveen Andrews and today was Michael Emerson. All three very nice guys.

damn shoes

So after what, a month? I finally got a pair of shoes that might work. Two returns to zappos and what do I do? Go back to the very first store at the mall that I tried. Just had to lower my standards quite a bit and now I'm the proud owner of something that could use way less fashion bullshit. We'll see how this goes.

No more shoe shopping online unless I'm familiar with the style.

the life

I really shouldnt complain. so for once I wont. Rough cut pipe tobacco, local brewed beer, a balcony with a nice breeze from the tradewinds on a tropical island.

Music. being left the hell alone by the womenfolk since she has a buddy in town. No work tomorrow.

Not a bad night all things considered.
