I set up a Twitter account and had it for all of 2 days. I didn’t appreciate the instant spam for porn. I’m sure it’s just a hazing thing that happens for new accounts, but I won’t support someplace where it happens so easily.
I also didn’t like how you would only see part of conversations unless you happened to follow everyone involved (very strange).
Might have to give in and try Facebook instead.

Well, I thought I'd give it a try to see what all of the hoopla is about:

I don't think I've told everyone who (who may be interested)...I've been posting haikus again at http://575.tumblr.com/ ; however, this time I've done it differently in that I take a creative commons image and use it as inspiration for the haiku (the image links back to the source - so far Flickr's Creative Commons group). I've got almost a months worth queued up and ready to go (I try to add a couple every day to the queue so that when I say, go on vacation, new stuff will show up every day).…

Here's my entry for this year (I will most likely be off for the next few days for the long weekend)...

For some reason every time I try to comment over at UncleBear.com, I go straight to the spam filter for the site (even though I turn off sharing a link and have no links in my comments). Is there something I should know?

Hey...I don't know if anyone here noticed, but I have a new URL; so if anyone was generous enough to link to http://unearthed.tumblr.com/ ; could you please link to
http://web.me.com/unearthed/ruminator/ .
Thanks,

The URL for my seldom posted at tumblelog has been changed:
http://ruminator.tumblr.com/ (instead of unearthed.tumblr.com). For those of you who link to it, you might want to update it.
Now for the invitation part...
I've been inspired with how the Dire Kings guest posts have been working...my risus tumblelog (
Risus Thought of the Moment) is technically a group. I have decided to allow other people to join in on…

I've never really had one online before (and I really doubt if there's a lot of interest), but I've built one over at Squidoo -
http://www.squidoo.com/larrybullock
I hope it meet with approval (for anyone interested in such things).

I went ahead and set up a "real" blog dedicated to Risus. I call it: Risus Thought of the Moment (or simply
Risus TOTM). I followed the advice of the Dire King and made certain that this site is only about one thing - Risus Randomness ;-).
I even applied for the RPG Bloggers Network thing (although I could see them turning me down since it is so new).

Based on Mr Montie's
post, I thought I'd shared a generic view of my At a Glance resume -
sample resume.pdf. I've used this at Dice.com for my resume for a while.
I don't know if it is really good or not, but I like to think it is nifty (I wrote it up as an HTML document and then just saved it as a PDF).

You know, the more I think things over, I'm perfectly happy with Risus. So, instead of Unearthed Playgrounds being something to build an new RPG system (do we really need another one), I've set it up to be a place to build system-less settings/game worlds/adventures/modules/etc.
Will this work? Will anyone be interested in joining? I don't know, but it would be fun if they do.

I don't know how much interest there is in such a thing, but I've set up
Unearthed Playgrounds over with Google Sites. If you don't recall, Unearthed Playgrounds was with WetPaint (and then PBWiki), and it was a site where I was going to take parts I liked from old (but hopefully not forgotten) RPGS and build something new.
With the move to Google Groups, I'm opening it up so that anyone who wants to participate can. Who knows if…

I'm a fairly regular poster on the RisusTalk list. Twice now, I've answered a rules question with bad answers (and it's not like Risus has a lot of rules to mess up). Here I think I know the system (even if I don't get to play very often - it's been over a year), and I run Risusiverse, and then I give out bad advice.
I feel pretty stupid right now. Maybe things w…

(what follows is a reprint of something I put out long ago)...
Many years ago, Edgar made money distributing copies. He was the only one with access to the original work and had total control of the copies (the number of copies, their quality, etc.). All he needed was
the right marketing to make certain that there was demand for the
copies he could provide. Life was good for Edgar.
The march of technology started catching up with Edgar. People could start making copies of

Probably like quite a few people my age who used to play a ton of roleplaying games (face to face games, not MMORPGs), I have thought about creating my own game. Not that there is/was anything wrong with the games that I've played, but just because.
I remember the first such game I made myself. It was shortly after playing Dungeon's and D

Here I'll
pimp a worthy cause that deserves greater attention...or...common
courtesy should be more common.
Is it really so difficult for people to actually consider the needs/wants/desires of others before acting, or is it simply an anonymous world where everyone only looks out for themselves? I think we should have a courtesy revolution.
Start today, an…
