Let Me Tell You About My Paladin

This is hardly cutting edge, but these were movies I've been meaning to watch for a few years now... and now that I finally have, I'm sorry it took me so long. Sure, its pretty much the Dresden Files set in Moscow, but its awesome.

Zavulon is the best movie villain since Hans Gruber! I had to goob over the scene where he turns down the magic artifact that would allow him to turn back time and correct any mistake:

"You never make mistakes?"

"I never cry over them."

I blabbed about both of these a few months back. They're certainly visually stunning and have a certain style to them that is welcome in the largely stagnant world of movies these days.

Something seems a bit off about them though. Its been years since i've seen Nightwatch and several months since Daywatch, but I remember thinking that something was missing. And it didn't quite seem to make sense.

Has anyone read the books?
