Let Me Tell You About My Paladin

We need some sort of advanced advertising protocols in place. Pandora isnt working on my laptop with firefox all of the sudden. probably something to do with a recent update. So I'm using the terrible and evil Internet Explorer. Evidently they have some sort of annoying popup banners that flank both sides of the song thats currently playing.

I know they have to pay for their license and whatnot. But I does rankle me when I get bombarded with ads for services I already subscribe to, like Netflix. There needs to be some cookie or authentication code that just skips commercials for products and services I already endorse.

Geico customers must feel terrible about it since one in ever bloody 3 commercials online is for that company. Really? you need the gecko, the cavemen, AND the damn money stack? all at the same time? sheesh. overkill. Not to mention that all three campaigns are annoying.

The irony is that it's your patronage of those companies that provides them with the money needed to fund the advertising.

The chief downside of such a cookie scheme (apart from its eminently hackable nature) is that this would entail a record--either on your computer or a remote database--of which companies you patronize.

I hear you, man. I'd go insane if it weren't for Firefox's AdBlock plugin. Well, more insane.

There are advanced advertising protocols in place. Unfortunately they're the advertising industry's advanced advertising protocols, developed by the doctor from A Clockwork Orange.
